I imported my website to a new hard drive but I have the index page and all
the files but it is not structured.
I published it back to the ISP but that did not restructure the files on my
drive
Thanks,
James

Publish back to your drive just like you publish to the server.

the server copy may already be wacked too now since looks like he
republished it back to the server.

Don't use import...you need to Publish it back to your hd...Import doesnt
bring down all the files the web.

Tom,
How do I publsih backwards? When I enter "publish" it auotomatically uses ny
c: file as the "SEBD" point. I do not know how to use the website as a send
point. Sorry to not know more about FP but searching the MS website for 4
hours gave me no clue.

Thanks

The website is stil intact. I just looked at it. But I cannot figure out how
to publish "in reverse"

Assuming your web site has FP extensions installed and working properly:

Open FP
Open Web/Site
type in http://youwebnamehere.com
un/pw blah blah blah...
you are now online live with your web...
File | Publish Web/Site
now enter the location on your harddrive where your webs are stored.
could be something like C:\My Document\My Webs\nameofyourweb (if disc based)
or
http://localhost/yourwebnamehere if you're running a server on your local
machine.

Then publish.
