IMport Outlook express address folders

Just loaded MS Office 2007 and new outlook program. When I imported
addresses and emails all it did was my main contacts and not my other 5
folders worth of addresses. How can I get those others transferred in and
into their proper folders?

Importing Contacts will only import the main folder AFAIK.
Importing mail will change the Modified Date. Look in your Sent Items - you
may well find that they have all been sent on the day of import...

I guess my first question would be why it only does that, but aside from
that stupidity. I have tried to see if I could change my previous folders
to be the main folder and cannot. Is my only option to manually input the
hundreds of contacts from those other folders? I do really appreciate your
response. Thanks.

I think the only answer is to move the OE main folder contacts somewhere
else, move the sub-folder contacts to the main and export. Repeat for each
subfolder...
 
It works to transfer all addresses out of the main folder into another
folder. Transfer the other addresses into the main folder and them import
them into Outlook. I will have to recategorize them, but at least I don't
have to reenter all of them. Also it appears Outlook may have new ways to
categorize the addresses. Thank you for your response it was very helpful.

YW. Categories are definitely the way to go....
