import my own picture for a backround

i want to use my company's logo in the backround of this presentation and
have the text in the foreground but i do not know how to import my own logo
and use it as the backround

Go to the View menu, choose Master and Slide Master. Go to the Insert menu
and choose Picture and From File. Find the file and insert. Depending on
the nature of the logo, you might want to increase brightness and decrease
contrast so that dark text shows up more easily (or the reverse so light
text shows up more easily).

To add to David's suggestion, you can also use the Washout option. You'll
find that in the Color icon (second from left in the Picture toolbar).
