I'm trying to import a movie ideally in quicktime format from adobe premiere, i've exported as quicktime using Sorrenson3 and Planar RGB but powerpoint can't seem to see it-is there a particular codec which powerpoint recognizes? i can import as an avi but the quality is not so good and the presentation needs to be the best quality possible.
any suggestions?

thanks

PPT doesn't play well with newer versions of QuickTime, although it will
often be okay with v1, 2, or 2.5

See http://www.indezine.com for more info on PPT and QT itself.

Also see http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm for
an explanation of what movie types should work better. I'd probably go for
MPEG1.

Sarah,

I'd go for export as an AVI and not quicktime.

If you have control over the playback machine...have a route around to see what codecs are installed...and export from
premiere using those codecs....testing to see what looks best for you when played back in powerpoint.
