Import messages from OE6 ?? !!!!! :-(((

Hi,

Due an hard disk failure on my PC, I've the need to migrate all my mails
from OE6 to an other computer with Vista Home Premium.

Using the tools (and following the suggestions) there is no problem to
import all the messages in Windows Vista, but If I try later, to send a
receive mail, erase some message, move to a fonder to an other I see that the
info in the folder list are not updated, and move to an other folder or
closing and re-opening Windows Vista all the messages and many folders
disappear !!! :-(((

Anyone has the same problem ? Which is the way to submit those bug to MS
Support ?

This problem can be caused by interference from your
antivirus program. Windows Mail is not compatible with most
McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled.

Next, at your convenience, download and install a more compatible
antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their

The Antivirus (Norton) it is disabled for email check...

I've already post an other message: the problem appear also if I create some
new folders and after try to receive/send, move from one folder to an
other....

What we have found here is that it is not sufficient to disable
email scanning in Norton. It must be uninstalled completely.

I've removed Norton and installed AVAST, as you suggested...

Apparently the problem disappeared...

The problem still exist :-((((

Now I have only AVAST (email check disabled), I've also removed all the

C:\Users\antonio\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

Folder, rebooted, recreated accounts, rules, folders and all appeared to be
OK, still few minutes ago:

I've created a new folder and it not appeared... closing and re opening
Windows Mail many other disappears (included all the imported) and all appear
like empy (also if on the right side I see how many left to be read...)..

Send/Receive don't more works...

Sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble with Windows Mail.
My only remaining suggestion is for you to upgrade to Windows Live Mail.

Do any of your other folders have a plus sign in a box? If so, click it.

What happens when you try Send/Receive?
