Import From Text File

I really hope someone can help my with my problem. Just a lil bit ago, i
exported my contacts list as a text file. When i try to import it back,
there is no "import from text" option. i have to choose the tab
seperated values. I've gone through the whole import process a hundred
times but it doesn't seem to work. I've looked up information on how
the quickest and easiest way to do this, and a lot of people tell me to
put in into an excel spreadsheet. I can't figure that out either. If
someone could help me, it would really be appreciated.
 
It might help if we knew what you are trying to accomplish by exporting your
contact list to a text file...maybe there is a better way to do what you
want. Also, what version of Outlook are you using?
