Hi, I would like to be able to import files that was capture via ADS DVD
Xpress and ADS DVD Xpress DX2 via a USB port. When I try to import the file
into Widows Movie Maker it tell me 'G:\My Videos\Bubba on Lanai.mpg could not
be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from.' When I
use Window media converter it hangs up when I select the file. Window Media
11 input the files OK.

Windows media player will play MPG files with no problem. Movie Maker,
however, will not. MPEG type 1 files will sometimes work and other times
will not with varying results to the point that it is not recommended to use
them at all. The error message you are getting suggests that the files are
actually MPEG Type 2 files which will not work in Movie Maker.

You need to convert them to WMV or AVI to use in Movie Maker. There are many
programs available to do this - some free and some not. VirtualDub is a
great utility for doing the conversion for you:

For more information and other program options see this site:

OP, You already have a program that will do the conversion. It is the same
one that you got with the capture program and it is called ULEAD Video
Studio 9SE. If you import the .mpg file into that program, click Share on
the top margin and then Create Video File. One of the options is WMV. You
can also convert to AVI by using the options.

I use this program for most of my video editing as it is as powerful as WMM
2.2, will handle wmv, mpg, divx & avi input and output.

Even bought the V 10 which will do video in video that WMM & V9se won't but
I still use 9se on my other computers.

hey i was wondering how to put music from itunes or limewire onto the movie.I
tryed to save the playlist but it only shows up outside of movie maker in
documents in the start menu. so now i can only put betoven and highway blues.
got any ideas?

1st. Don't Hijack someone else's post. This is considered
improper.

2nd. If the music files are downloaded and are copyrighted
you should not use them in WMM or any other output as this
would violate the copyright of the music (WMM may not even
let you insert them.) Now, if you "OWN" the copyright to
the music you would click Import audio or music on the Tasks
button. Once imported just drag them into the Audio/Music
bar at the bottom of the program's window. WMM will only
import certain audio files, don't know if it will import
files from limewire.

I agree with LV except for one thing.
If you purchased the music on iTunes or Limewire then they have DRM attached
and you will get an error in Movie Maker. You would need to remove DRM by
burning to a CD and ripping back off the CD with DRM disabled in Media
Player.
