Hi,

I am switching PCs and am using Outlook Express. I tried
exporting my Outlook Express mail messages but the wizard
didn't tell me what kind of file was being exported or
where it was exporting it. I was getting a message saying
Exporting messages but nothing else. Does anyone know
what kind of file is created and how to import it into
another Outlook Express? The two PCs are both network so
I can save the export file to a server and then import it
into the new machine.

Thanks,

Chuck

Hey Chuck

Don't bother to use the Address book format; use the Comma Seperated Values instead. I export my contacts from Outlook Express as a CSV file and import the same file format using Outlook. This has its advantages because the file can be easily edited so that unwanted contacts can be removed before importing. Also, the file can be easily exchanged between many other programs as well.
