Import/export from Word (Access 2003)

Is there a way of creating a form that is easily accessible (preferably a
Word document) that can be set up so it can be imported into Access or Excel?
The form would be based on our intranet – currently I copy and paste the
information into an Excel document and it would fantastic if I could just
import the relevant bits.

One way is to create bookmarks in your Word file and then use
Automation to read the bookmarks and add records to your Access file.
If you put the Word files in the same folder, you can use Dir() to
process them all as a batch.

Is there a place I could learn more about bookmarks, automation and Dir()?
This sounds like what I need to do with forms, but I don't understand how to
do it.

Thanks!

Come to think of it... (little slow... hey, maybe what they say about
blondes really is true!) I'd dig through the Word NG for ideas/
examples of how to play with Word bookmarks. Another option is to
create a form in Word, and save only the data. Then you could just
import that... Haven't done that in a million years, so that's why I
didn't think of it. If you don't really care about printing the
completed form (you use it for data collection only), then do that and
you'll save yourself a lot of hassle. I would definitely recommend
checking the Word newsgroups and probably some of the Word MVP
sites... there's definitely an answer in there somewhere... or check
the MS site...
