The subject says it all. Could someone please point me to an article that
would explain in detail how to export contacts from outlook into a format
that can be imported into macmail? And then, export from mac mail back into
a format that can readily be imported into Outlook?

Thanks in advance,

John C.

What formats will macmail (whatever that is) import?

There are 2 parts(answers) to your question:

#1 - Re: how to export contacts from outlook into a format that can be
imported into macmail?

This question (and all others like it referring to another program) is one
that should be asked of the vendor for the particular program - not the
other way around. Outlook exports data in specific formats and it's a matter
of matching that to whatever the capabilities are for any given program in
terms of importing data. The list of available options can be found by
reviewing the file options via Outlook's Import/Export option. Most common
and one of the most generic formats is .CSV (comma separated values).

#2 - Re: format that can readily be imported into Outlook

Answer to that question can be found by simply reviewing the file format
options when clicking on the Import/Export option within Outlook and
matching that to whatever the export capabilities are for the program in
question. Most common and one of the most generic formats is .CSV (comma
separated values).

Just in case this is construed as being a "critical" response - it's not.
It's a question that keeps getting asked here repeatedly (not specifically
for MacMail but any other of a million programs out there) and the info
related to any given program is (should be) in the documentation for that
program.
