Import Excel Spreadsheet- Grid

When I insert an excel spreadsheet into a PowerPoint slide I still see the
gridlines in the backround. How do I hide the gridlines from PowerPoint?

You have to hide the gridlines in Excel.

Double click the sheet to activate it, then use the normal Excel commands to
turn off the grids.

Degroup the sheet 2 or 3 times and then you can remove all that's in the
spreadsheet, you can't adapt it anymore after that............

no. But if it's an embedded Excel object you can do what Steve mentioned --
double-click to open the object. This opens the file in Excel (but it's
still within PPT), and you can turn off the gridlines.
