Import error - All file types

Hi!

I've been using WMP 2.1 on XP for quite a while with no problems. Recently
I haven't been able to import any files (mp3s, wmv, wma, mpeg etc) and get
the error message 'D:\*filename* could not be imported. Unspecified error'.

About the only new thing I've done recently is upgrade Zonealarm. I know
it's vague, but any ideas??

Try disabling all the codec's in Movie Maker.
Open Movie Maker and click Tools -> Options
Click the [Compatibility] tab
Remove the checkmarks from any installed filters
Now see if you can import
If you can then you could check the boxes again one at a time and try
importing until you find the one causing the problem.
