hi,
When developing an access-application, the size of the .mdb-file on disk
tends to grow each time changes are made.
Importing the whole bunch into a newly made database often reduces the size
back to less than 50%...
I used to do so in access 97, and I never had any problems...
Now I try to do the same in access 2000 but it doesn't work!
The error-message I get is : Unable to open file. Network connection might
be lost.
(in dutch : Fout bij het verkrijgen van toegang tot een bestand. Mogelijk is
de netwerkverbinding verbroken.)
..... I work on a stand-alone-PC !!!
The strange thing is that, immediately after importing, everything works
fine...
But closing it, and opening it again kills it !!!
I already found out that making changes to the VBA-code and saving it
(immediately after importing), solves the problem!!!
But what is going wrong here? I already tried reinstalling access ...
doesn't work!
any suggestions?
