Hi
I can't figure out how to get my address book copied. 2000 has export
greyed out......
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

I'm going to assume you have a Personal Address Book (the normal place for
address data in Outlook 2000 and later is the Contacts folder which is part
of your Personal Folders file). Go to 'Control Panel|Mail|E-mail
Accounts|Add a new directory or address book|Next|Additional Address
Books|Next|Personal Address Book|Next', use the Browse button to navigate to
your current Personal Address Book file (it will have a filename ending with
..PAB, often "mailbox.pab"), and click "Apply". You should then copy all
your contacts into the Contacts folder because Outlook 2003 is the last
version that will work with a Personal Address Book.

If my assumption is incorrect (you use the Contacts folder, but your
addresses don't appear when you click the address book icon), you may not
have the Outlook Address Book service loaded. To check this, go to 'Control
Panel|Mail|E-mail Accounts|View or change existing directories or address
books|Next' and see if the Outlook Address Book is shown. If not, click the
"Add" button and add it. You may then need to open Outlook, right click the
Contacts folder, select "Properties", click the Outlook Address Book tab,
and add a checkmark to the "Show this folder as an e-mail address book"
checkbox.

Outlook does not use an address book. Data is stored in Contact Folders.
That is where you export.
