Import Access DB with 2 catagories

The CSV file has a field called catagory and subcatagory. I want to create
these in BCM/outlook as Two catagories. Would a direct import from access
work better??

Also- How can I automatically define for the users 'valid' catagories. After
importing the contacts, the catagories are not listed on the catagories list.
 
After importing a category into bcm, I believe you have to open a form
(e.g. Business Contact) with that category in Outlook for Outlook to
pick the category up and add it to the categories list.

I think the features for mapping imports are the same for Access,
Excel, and CSV.
