I am a beginner to powerpoint. I know how to create an action button.
Please tell me: If I have a picture that I would like to use as an action
button, how is this done. How do I import this picture into my action button?

Thanks

Right click the picture and select Action Settings. You can also find this
option by selecting the picture and going to Slide Show--> Action Settings.

Now if you want the picture to look button-ized, you will need to instead
add it as the background of a shape. To do that, use the auto-shapes tool to
add your button. After you set up the action setting, right click the shape
and select format. Go to the Colors and Lines tab. Click the drop down
arrow for Fill. Select Fill Effects. Go to the Picture tab and choose your
picture. OK your way out and your picture should show on the button.
