Hi.

I'd be interested to know if there's a site that compiles permanent
benchmarks/reviews about all available antivirus software for Windows
platforms (including).

Most tables I've come across are either incomplete or partisan.
Or both.

Thanks.

You can find independent detection test results for many products:

http://www.claymania.com/anti-virus.html

Uni Hamburg VTC and AV_TEST.ORG haven't done detection tests in quite
awhile now. But you can see how some major products have fared over
the years.

Actually, German magazines often publish tests conducted by av-test.org.
For some reason those tests are not available on av-test.org's web site.

Yes, I thought there has been testing activity, and I suppose I should
have reworded what I said from "haven't done" to "haven't published
results on the web site".

Art, you're a star!

The website at ClayMania.com is a great resource.
Just the kind of thing I was looking for.

Thanks!

Ah!

By pure coincidence, I found the *exact* thing I was looking for.

See: http://www.anti-virus-software-review.com

no you didn't... i've checked that site out, it doesn't meet all your
requirements (you specified them as being completeness and
non-partisan-ness)... at the very least that table is not complete...
it test less than 1/3 the number of products listed in the virus
bulletin tests...

Hi Kurt.

I think you're right.

I've been doing some background research, and the list is incomplete,
and doesn't match my top 10. But I like the info they provide.

I'll keep looking... ;)
