Hi, sorry about this x-post.

Desperatly need help how to make a NT4 Server bootable. I did run chkdsk
from a WinXP because the server wount boot any more, found some problem that
was fixed but now it says that it could not found any operating system if I
tryes to boot with the disk.

Is it possible to rewrite the MBR or something to the NTFS boot partision on
the NT4 disk?

Best regards Johan Ryberg

Your problem may be related to running a disk util from an OS 2
generations ahead of NT4 on an NT4 file system. Are you at least
running SP4 on the NT4 installation?

Try booting w/ a 98 DOS disk and issuing fdisk /mbr to rewrite the MBR.
