QuikNotes
documentation on website is spares so i'll share what i've found out:
1. Does not use setup or install; you'll have to manually unzip to a
directory and manually create your shortcuts.
2. when you create a sub folder in the program it creates a sub
folder on your hard drive (mirrors the program).
3. when you create a text note it saves it on your hard drive in a
seperate file with the name (subject) you've given it under the folder
you specified.
4. text files are saved as Rich Text Format (RTF) without the
extension so be aware of this when reading files in Wordpad or Word or
some other RTF compatible word processor.
5. OLE capable so you can embed images and stuff.
6. SMALL @ 308K
7. Unlike TreePad it does not minimize to try but I find it far more
useful (esp. since I can embed OLE and read the files in nearly any
RTF compatible word processor)
from the intro dialog:

QuickNotes is a production of VSD developers. QuickNotes is freeware.
In the left side of window, you can see a tree. The tree can contain
folders and papers. Paper - is a text file (RTF format). Paper can
contain formatted text, graphics, URL and other objects (see
examples). You can edit text in editor, formatting and printing text.
