Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with Outlook 2000 sp3 with
printing HTML e-mails that have imbedded pictures in
them. Every time I try to print one of these e-mail
instead of the picture I get a square box outlining where
the picture is suppose to be with a X in the top left
corner of that box.

I am able to save the picture and print it from another
program (like MS Paint) without any problem. It's just
when I try to print it from Outlook (either in the
preview pane or in its own e-mail window).

I've tried to cut and past the body (text and pic) of the
e-mail to MS Word 2000, and I get a similar problem...
The text copies but there is a blank spot where the
picture used to be.

Below are the details of my system:

Windows 98se
IE 5.5 128bit
Office 2000 premium sp3

Not sure if upgrading to IE 6 will solve this problem,
but it's not a solutions I can use... Is there another
workaround and or solutions to this problem?

I am experiencing the same problem with Outlook 2002. I
had the problem before Office SP3, and still have it
afterward. I tryed setting the email editor to Word, but
the email still opens in HTML. It displays fine on the
screen, but prints the 'box' you mention, and displays as
the 'box' only if the message is forwarded. I too would
love a solution - I had hoped the SP would help. The
user runs Windows XP.
Thanks

Yeah, there seems to be a problem with Outlook and HTML
formatted e-mails. I can print e-mails with imbedded pics
from Outlook 2002 without a problem as long as I open the
e-mail in its own window... But when I try to print the
same e-mail from the preview pane it dosn't print the
picture.

The only thing I can think of is to upgrade windows with
all the latest critical fixes and service packs (Windows
Update) and see if the problem goes away.

Also check out the following MS knowledge Base article

Hope that helps.
