I cannot keep this service running via Services==>I keep
enabling it and before I can even get close to performing
a cd burn, it mysteriously is stopped. No matter how many
times I enable it, within a few minutes it will have
stopped again.
Its startup type is set at Manual which is its default
setting. I have found what I think is its driver in a
drivrs folder under I believe it was system 32 drivers
(cant remember right now) and the driver (a blue outlined
box with imapi underneath it)was in there. So can the
driver be corrupted or just broken? I am at wits end
trying to get this service to stay Enabled.
Thank you for your help.

With a Manual setting, the service is loaded as needed. While the drive is
reading or resting, that service will stop. Set the service to Automatic if
you want it loaded, ready and waiting at all times.
