My ISP has spam filtering that moves junkmail out of my mailbox into a
different folder. I can then check this either via their webmail
service, or via imap using Outlook Express. However, the webmail
facility is "clunky", and Outlook Express insists on downloading the
message bodies.

What I'm looking for is an imap email checker that knows about folders,
that would allow me to view the headers on the messages while the
messages remain on the server, and would let me delete the messages if I
wanted to, without needing to download the bodies.

I have one more wish - it would be nice to be able to move wrongly
classified messages (I get about two or three a week in this category)
back from the spam folder to the inbox.

Does anyone know of such a program?

Thanks, Peter

Works for me with OE:-

Uncheck "automatically download messages when viewing in preview pane"

(options -> Read)

(- This option is also applied to newsgroups so I just click on "offline" before
I view my spam folder)

and change synchronisation settings for you spam folder to download headers only.
