How can you set up IMAP in Outlook Express? thanks, Bald Eagle

First.. Try the built in help.. Mosty applications have it. Outlook Express certainly does. Most questions can be answered with minimal pain this way. In fact - that is where this answer comes from.

To add an e-mail or newsgroup account
You will need the following information from your Internet service provider (ISP) or local area network (LAN) administrator:

a.. For e-mail accounts, you'll need to know the type of e-mail server you use (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP), your account name and password, the name of the incoming e-mail server and, for POP3 and IMAP, the name of an outgoing e-mail server.
b.. For a newsgroup account, you'll need to know the name of the news server you want to connect to and, if required, your account name and password.
1.. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2.. In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add.
3.. Select either Mail or News to open the Internet Connection Wizard, and then follow the instructions to establish a connection with an e-mail or news server.
Note

a.. Each user can create multiple e-mail or newsgroup accounts by repeating the procedure above for each account.
AND
To configure the path to your mailbox on an IMAP server

1.. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2.. Select your IMAP server from the Accounts list.
3.. Click Properties, and then click the IMAP tab.
4.. Type the path in the Root Folder Path box.
The root folder path identifies the mailbox that contains your folders on the server. Do not end the root folder path with a hierarchy character. For example, ~username/Mail is a valid root folder path, but ~username/Mail/ is not. If you are not sure what to type, leave this box blank.

Note

a.. If your IMAP server is a Cyrus server, your user folders must be contained in the Inbox folder. If your IMAP server is UNIX-based, your e-mail is usually stored in its own directory in your user home directory—for example: ~username/Mail.
AND

To read and reply to IMAP or HTTP e-mail messages
1.. In the Folders list, click the folder that you want to read.
2.. In the message list, click a message to display it in the preview pane, or double-click it to open it in its own window.
3.. In the message window, click Reply, Reply all, or Forward to respond to a message. When your reply is finished, click Send.
Note

a.. If you receive an error while reading a message, it may be because the body of the message has not been downloaded. Outlook Express will automatically download the message if you are online.

Thanks for the information. Since I am to the to the group, do you leave the Post until it rots or decays?
