In Outlook 2003, Email Accounts, does IMAP ignore the deliver new
email to the following location setting? It seems it does as the IMAP
PST file that was created when I created my IMAP email isn't even an
option in the "deliver new email to the following location". I have my
email location being my PST file (the one with calendar, contacts,
etc.), but the mail is not delivered to that location.

As the whole purpose of IMAP email is to mirror the folders on the Mail
server, then it CAN'T deliver mail to anywhere other than the IMAP
folders...if you want it to deliver to your Personal Folders file then you
need to use POP not IMAP...

Gordon:

Thanks and understand. I did have it setup using POP and recently
switched to IMAP. I just wanted to verify that IMAP basically ignored
the "deliver new email to the following location" setting. It seems it
does.
