Images

I have been having problems with images on my internet
browser ever since i reinstalled windows xp. Anyways, how
come some images never appear but are instead replaced by
a box with those little shapes in the top left hand
corner? These are sometimes the types of images that you
can move around...for example a game of some kind. On the
other hand...for the stationary picture i just right
clicked and selected show picture, but all that happens
is the shapes turn into an x. Can anyone help? Do i need
to change some settings?
