I imported images into my FP2003 site - .jpg - 468 x 60

I drag and drop them onto the page - but they don't show up and the code
says 32 x 32

If I modify the file name during import the images will then show up on the
page when I drag and drop into place - but they don't show up in IE. Here is
the weird part and I feel I have tried everything to figure this out - on my
local machine they don't show up - but if I use another machine the images
are there. I have tried several browsers on my machine and the images aren't
there in all the different browsers.

I have deleted cache, all the temp files I can find - fixed and repaired -
and even tried spinning around 3 times while chanting - nothing works!

Ideas?

Rename/Resize the images (jpg/gif) prior to importing them into your current open FP web, then
insert them on your page.

JPG images must be in a subformat of rgb.

The images are ready to go when I import them. they are in .jpg format. I
only tried renaming them upon import just to see if it made a difference.

I have checked the code of the page - the images are there - but when I view
the pages live in my own browsers the images do not show up - they are not in
the code. but if I go to another machine the code is fine and the images are
there. I have tried deleting all the cache and temp files - but for some
reason the changes aren't showing up on my machine locally.

Does this make sense?

Here is an example

On this page I added a banner ad - you will see it but I do not on my machine.

You have software installed that is block your Ad / banner images.

These ad blocking application look at the image file name and the image size (such as 468 x 60).

NO WAY! I use Norton - do I turn it off there? How can I get around this -
I don't want the banner ad being blocked - but I want to use a standard size.
Renaming will obviously help - but what about the size?

Check your Norton Help for Ad Blocking feature or any other software that you may have installed for
your browser, like a toolbar, etc.

FYI: Site visitors may also have applications installed that will block ad / banners and there is
nothing that you can do about it, except to change your image name, and size it to not be a standard
banner ad size.

hmmm..I wonder if changing the image dimensions by a pixel or two would
help?

Depending on if the application is looking for a specific size or a range of sizes.

I have same problem about viewing images for my created web site ONLY on My
own computer not others. I do not have this problem if I use front page
versions 2000. If we are all getting this problem something wrong with
front page wouldn't you say? I have even shut off all my blockers and
security programs the problem is still there. Come "Bill" what's going on
here?

Are you saying that you can not see standard size banner images in your local copy of your web while
working in FP?

No. I cannot see imported photos or other images in my created (in FP
2003)web sites from my computer but i can see them on other computers. Plus I
CAN see all other web site photos and images including my email. Conclusion?
It must be my creating the web that it did something with a conection to my
web site and to my computer! Any thoughts?
PS. I have read almost all the other letters and threads regarding this
problem and have tried most of the suggested solutions( except the most
technical ones. I ma not a software programmer Per Se) It does seem to be a
common ,though complicated problem

Have you installed any graphic card driver updates?

Just to be clear, you can see the images after you have publish the site to web server, correct?

NO as I said before I cannot see the images on my web site when I use MY
computer but iCAN see them when I use some elses computer. I have NOT
upgraded ANY cards or security programs. This all started when I used MSFP
2003
The same problem appears to be happenning to others so there must be a
common thread about all this !! associated with FRont PAGE 2003?
