Images won't open.

When I go to save an image from the internet, it gives me
the choice of saving it as a bitmap or an art file. I
try to save it as either one it saves as a jpg file and
won't open. How do I correct this?
 
This site doesn't help the problem of getting pics open.
And no help is found. Nothing like making it harder to
fix a problem than a wild-goose-chase.

You mean that I will never be able to save images?
 
Open IE6.
Click on Tools on the top bar. Click on Internet options. A window will
open. Click on the Delete files button in the middle of this window.
Next time you try to save an image from the Internet you will get the jpg
option. This will work if you are not on AOL.
If you are on AOL you need to do something more.
Go to the following site, bottom of the page and follow the instructions.
