First of all, loads of thanks to anyone who can provide
me with advice"
In some web pages I visit, IE will not show images.
Instead, I only get little red Xs all over the place.
The only thing the non-working images have in common is
that their "Size" (under image properties) is "Not
Available." However, certain other images from other
sites that do not have a specified Size do in fact
display. Whether or not the "Dimensions" of the image
are available does not seem to matter. Here is an
example of a board where I cannot see any icons/images:
http://www.phishposters.com/yabbse/index.php
I have been told that there is a bug/feature in IE for XP
that causes problems for images when height width
attributes aren't specified in the html of a page. Maybe
this is the problem? I have also been told that a patch
has not yet been released for this problem.
Is that my problem....or is there a setting somewhere in
Internet Options I can adjust to fix this?
I have IE v. 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1 (Windows XP - Home)
Brand new computer.
Thanks for any advice! I really need it.
