I just got my computer with XP. I've set up the internet, and at first the
images showed up fine, but now I think I might've accidentally changed the
security settings or something and certain things aren't showing up. Please
help!

In IE, go Tools / Internet Options
In the Security Tab, click "Default Level"
In the Advaced Tab, click "Restore Defaults"

Thank you.

john i'm having the same problem did you figure it out yet cause i cant
either i need help with that too

I run XP SP2 Home Edition and IE 7.0. Out of the blue, I started getting the
situation where I was getting the colored square, circle and triangle instead
of pictures. Putting a tick in the "Show Pictures" box and refreshing or
restarting IE temporarily fixed the problem, but after shutting down and
restarting the system the problem always resurfaced ("Show Pictures" got
unticked).
I tried all the fixes suggested by MS at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283807, plus a few more, but to no avail.
I resolved the problem by swinging over to Mozilla Firefox, and that's where
I'll stay until MS or someone can come up with a fix.
