images not loading

I recently installed windows me and internet explorer 6 to
my pc. however, certain web pages i visit come up with a
red x in the image border whenever i open them. Upon
refreshing this problem disappears. I have to do this with
each subsequent page i visit from the affected sites. Any
ideas on a solution would be greatly appreciated

If nothing works, try this:
Rename your HOSTS file to OLDHOSTS (all in caps) and then
reboot.
To find the HOSTS file go to:
If you have Win 2K/Xp: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
Or if you have Win 98/ME: C:\WINDOWS
If you don't see the HOSTS file then it's because it is
hidden, so set your computer to "Show Hidden Files and
Folders."
