Hello, I apologies if I am posting in the incorrect newsgroup.
* I have 14 Machines
* I have 14 Copies of Windows XP Pro
* I have one computer setup just as I need with all the needed software
and windows tweaks.
* I have created an image that I can restore on to the other 13 machines.
How do I change the Product keys on the other 13 computers after
restoring the image?
The 14 copies of windows that I have are OEM and I have COA's for all of
them but I want to enter the correct key for each machine.
I have tried the Windows Product Key Update Tool. but I get the error:
The application has encountered a disk-write error while updating system
components. The system may be low on disk space. Please Check available
disk
space. [Error: 0x800402c9]
I have also tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810892
but someone already Activated windows for me.
I even tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918342
but since that's for Volume Licensing I did not expect it to work.
Is there a way to do what I need or do I need to set up each computer
one at a time. That might just make me cry
Thanks in advance.
