Is there such a thing as an 'unbdound image control'

Apparently this is what i need to display an image based on the location of
the image within the harddisk (ie hyperlink address)rather than just storing
the image within the database

I can see the 'normal' image control icon and that doesnt do it

Yes. You create an image control with the wizard, then delete the
information you saved in the Picture property. Or, better yet, create it
with a 1 x 1 pixel while picture... you're going to save the
path-and-filename of your picture in there, in real time.

No, that's not a hyperlink. It is a fully-qualified (aka well-formed) path
and filename. Hyperlinks are something else again -- double click them to
open the picture with whatever software is registered on the user's compute
for the image file type.

Actually it does, and nicely.

For some sample databases, illustrating this and other approaches to
handling images, see http://accdevel.tripod.com.
