Image toolbar tooltips display weird characters

I have recently noticed that some of the characters displayed in the
tooltips in the IE image toolbar have changed.

Please take a look at this picture: http://techone.dk/ie6/imagetoolbar.png

I am using the Danish version of Windows XP Pro SP2 and IE 6. The text in
the tooltips in the two images at the top should have been 'Gem dette
billede' and 'Udskriv dette billede'.

What could be the course of this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
Go to IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Try disabling non-microsoft add-ons. An
add-on/BHO might be involved.

Does this occur if you startup in Safe Mode with Networking?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=315222 If not, another
program (which doesn't load in Safe Mode) is causing this. Disable
(MSCONFIG) non-essential programs and re-enable them one or two at a time to
find the guilty party.

Hi Don,

Thanks for your excellent advice. I followed your suggestions and with the
help of msconfig I found Logitech SetPoint to be the one causing the
problem. Now I am able to turn the problem on and off simply be starting or
ending the setpoint.exe process.

I think I will give Logitech Support a call on Monday :-)
