Hi, I'm having a problem with my monitor (CRT, LG Flatron 775 to be
exact) - basically, the image on the screen is getting squashed
vertically, I've taken a couple of photos to illustrate what I mean:
http://www.cs.bris.ac.uk/home/ar1451/screen1.jpg and
http://www.cs.bris.ac.uk/home/ar1451/screen2.jpg (it's more often like
screen2.jpg and screen1, but the effect is more visible in screen1.jpg)
I'm pretty sure the problem is actually in the monitor, since it's
equally bad in all modes (even the OSD is squished,) and there aren't
any problems when I use a different screen. (I've borrowed an old 15"
goldfish bowl so I've got something vaguely usable.)
Basically, I'm wondering if it's likely to be a fixable problem, or
whether I'm going to have to go shopping (true to form, it's died a
month after the warranty ran out :-/ )
