It used to work fine, now nothing happens when I click on it. I tried the
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL and REGSVR32 /i SHIMGVW.DLL scenario and rebooted and
rebooted. I do have IE-7 and honestly can't remember if I lost Image Resizer
before or after I upgraded to IE-7. Any ideas welcome, thanks.

Are you speaking of the PowerToy?
Maybe reinstalling it would be worth a try.

Interesting, I have not seen this previously reported.

Just guessing, but maybe it has issues with IE7...

Type in Start, Run:

regsvr32 phototoys.dll

Press ENTER.

If that does not help (even after a reboot), test if it works with a different image file type (jpg/gif/png/tif/bmp). Is this problem seen only for a *particular* file type?

Thanks Ramesh I just tried this too with no luck. The only file types I'm
using are jpgs. Maybe this relates to problem: If I go to "Start", "All
Programs", "PowerToys for Windows XP" the only things that appear are "Read
Me" and "Slide Show Wizard", which by the way works fine.

Rich43,

See if fixing the .JPG file association helps. You may use one of these two tools to accomplish the task.

Here's a link to a short video in which I put a semi-transparant mask on to
semi-hide a dragon's face

It's done with custom overlays... and I covered how to do it in my
newsletter #96.... there's a link to it all the way down on my website's
Edit Movies > XML-Persian Section > Script Types > Custom Overlays page.
