image problem online

when i go to websites a lot of the pictures show up as little xs
not all of them but most of them
now i have been going to these websites before and the pictures never did it
it just all of the sudden did it when i got a new virus program

please help me, why is this happening and how can i fix it?

You have answered your own question. The problem is almost certainly
caused by the new program.

Check the options on the new virus program and ensure that it is not
"overprotecting" you from things that might be in pictures.

If there is no such option, remove it and try another, less-invasive
anti-virus program.
