Image Previews Not Displayed in Windows Explorer

I am trying to preview *.tif images in Windows Explorer.
I have validated that the registry is correct for this
file extension. Registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\tif\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-
00C04FC2D6C1}

Value: (Default)="{7376D660-C583-11d0-A3A5-00C04FD706EC}"

Is there another setting that needs to occur to allow
these file types to be pre-viewed in Windows Explorer?

tried that already. the image window states "No preview
available" for *.tif files. *.bmp files work fine and are
displayed. Thanks for the TIP. Any other suggestions?
