Image link problems in IE6

Does anyone know why when in IE6 and I want to click on a image link I have
to click twice. It has a invisible box around the image link that shows when
I hover over it and says click here to activate. I know there is a patch for
this but don't know where to find it or what it is called. Can anyone help
please? Cheers.
