When I upload images from my camcorder to WMM, the image is tiny in the middle of the screen. If I expand it, then its all pixelated and crappy. I know it will display better than that because i've played the recordings back directly through my TV and it looked fine on my 18" - 20" ish TV screen

I just want to be sure that when I eventually put these images on DVD, they will fill the entire TV screen like a conventional TV broadcast

Thanks

Nick.

Hi there Holly,

You have probably missed the option right at the beginning that allows
you to define the size/quality of the captured file. Try again and read
carefully the options available as you set the capture option up. You will
come to a screen that will offer you choices on size/quality as offered by
the device you are going to capture from.

DVDs use a standard MPEG2 file with standard dimensions, so it should work
fine.... the preview windows you use in MM2 don't show the video at the
final size.

Hopefully you are not uploading via the USB 1.1 connection that is intended
only for uploading crappy quality video for use in e-mail.

Only if you have a DVD camcorder should you use the USB connection, which in
that case would probably be USB2.0.

If you upload the video using the Firewire/I-Link/IEEE 1394 connection which
is what "all" DV camcorders use then it will be full quality, provided you
choose to import it as DV-AVI as John Kelly stated.

what is the recording resolution of your camera? typically a camera for tv
playback only records a resolution of some 320x240 pixel. if that is the
case with yours, you will have a tiny image in the middle of the screen,
always.
