Image for store

I'm having a very hard time with my site. I am a new Front Page user and am
trying to build an online store. I have my shopping cart setup with my web
host and I've worked away at building my site. But I REALLY don't know what
I'm doing. I tried to upload the site and it took everything in the "My Web
Site" folder whether I wanted it to go or not. So, how can I avoid this from
happening? Then, after I deleted everything from the server, except the pages
and images that I wanted to have on there, most of my images didn't show up.
I don't know how to get the photos to be thumbnails on my site with that link
thing that makes it open larger...so many things. Can you help me? I've been
working on this for months now and I'm about ready to throw in the towel.

Did you create a new web before you started working on your web??
Does My Webs contain a folder with a blue globe on it, and is the folder name the name of
your web??
Are all of the files used by your web, inside this "folder with the globe on it"??

"My Webs" should contain a separate folder for each web you make.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I had a "New Web" folder with a blue globe on it to begin with, yes. And
inside the New Web folder, I had several different folders of different sites
that I had been working on because I revamped the current site 3 times. When
I uploaded, the server took the entire blue globe folder with everything in
it. I removed that from the server and systematically removed all of the
folders except the current site. When I tried it again, it did the same
thing. Instead of having the files onthe server, I had the folder which
didn't display anything. After I pulled it off again, I ended up deleting the
"blue globe folder" somehow. My site was backed up on disc (thank god) How do
I create a new one and why did it take every folder in it on the upload? Why
shouldn't I be able to have different web sites within that folder but not
have them publish? I know I sound like a total moron....but I am when it
comes to this lol. Please help.

When you have a FP web All files & folders in the web are published
- unless you individually mark selected files as Do Not Publish
- or you create subwebs (and publish w/o including subwebs)

Thank you for your answer for this question. But, I still need help with the
other problem I am having with images (my initial post). Can you help with
this?
Thank you!

I have pulled the site off of the server so there is nothing there to show
you now. But after I pulled the pages off of the server, the pictures were no
longer showing on the page in my program either. I've been reading through
some of the other posts concerning inserting pictures, and I have not been
modifying my pictures and importing them into an image folder either. I've
just used the insert picture tool and inserted the pictures into tables on
the page and then saved them. I guess I just assumed that when I saved the
page and saw the pictures being saved that they were all set to go.
Apparently this is not the case. So now I guess I need to go back and modify
all the pictures into thumbnails, put them in the image folder of the site,
then add them on the page from there? I want to make sure I'm doing this
correctly because I'm having to start over from scratch so I may as well do
it right. I guess this is also true when it comes to navbars from other
programs too?

Correct
- all media needs to be imported into your site before you use it
