Anyone know of a program that will allow me to
scan multiple page images and save under one file
name?

I need to save as jpg or tif. Currently I can use
Textbridge OCR, scan page one with the option to
then scan page two or three, and save all three
images under one file name. But this gives me a
doc file, I need an image file.

Irfanview allows the option to *view* images, page
1, 2, 3, etc with one filename. but I need
something that will allow me to scan/save the
multiple pages as one file.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

First, scan your pages as separate images.
Then in IrfanView v3.85:
View, Multipage images, Create Multipage TIF
and choose the files for your pages and the sort order.

BTW, jpeg does not support multiple images per file, but you can save
your multipage TIF with jpeg compression and many image viewers will
read that just fine.

TextBridge will allow this. Choose to save without recognizing. This
needs to be done before your start your scan. It then saves as an image
file.

Thanks to you both, Andrew and Daphne, for the
suggestions. I am off to experiment here
to see which option offers me the best zip for the
buck.

Very much appreciated.
