Hi all,

Got a little problem, I want to create an XP image, which
will work on more than one type of machine. But so far
when I dump it back onto the other machines when they
bootup it hangs at a black screen, any ideas on making a
Generic image?

A Drive Image or a Ghost image will only work on the machine that they were
created on! There are many different "hardware" identifiers that will NOT
be the same when trying to move to a new machine. This is to prevent piracy!

Check the documentation (in DriveImage at least) and you will see that
this is not possible. The image is hardware and software specific.

You have two diff machines....they must be alike for
drivers and other ids to be recognized.

Other type of solutions is to have a removable hard drive
where you have the data only to move to the other PC.
(home office scenary) ( buy external kids for hard drive
they are 10 box or so.)
