Image converter with preview

Irfanview does a great job of converting images, but it would be nice
to get a preview like payware graphics apps.

Is there anything like ImageConverter
(http://www.stintercorp.com/genx/imageconverter.php) that shows you a
side-by-side comparison of the before-and-after images, before you do
the actual conversion?

This is not a general ImageConverter app,
but it does great in enhanching images,
and it has before and after, before doing the actual 'conversion':
