I've got two issues:
1) new W2K Pro Workstation in a new W2K (Single) Server network. This
machine looks like it is not properly authenticating to the domain.
When logged in to the workstation as Domain Administrator I cannot
change security properties on desktop icons - the security tab does
not show up on the icon properties. I have changed the wkstn from
domain identity to workgroup then rejoined the domain and this has not
fixed this (did this twice actually).
2) Same network, different W2K Pro workstation(s). I have group
policies looking like it is working. I have changed some of the
policies and can clearly see the results at the client. HOWEVER, when
I try to specify a .bat file to execute at logon via the Group Policy
instead of the logon script field of the user profile - I just can't
get it to work. I've tried using UNC specification thinking maybe I
wasn't pointing to the right location for the script. I applied the
Service Pack updates to the workstation - didn't help.
Can anyone help me on either of these? Thanks.
Regards,
Allen
