im looking to add a backup feature to my switchboard in MS Access

im looking to add the backup feature in the file menu to my switchboard as a
button or a macro
 
I would not place this feature on your switchboard because to implement the
backup, your database will be open. If I understand the Windows built-in
backup program, it would not back up your database anyway because it would
be open.
 
thankyou for your reply, the reason i thought it would be able to run from
the switchboard is because when selected from the file menu, it closed the
application, backed up the database and re-opened ms access! thankyou for
your reply anyway, il just stick a batch file on the desktop instead! :)
