Installed a 3rd party pop up killer which totally bogged
down the pc. I DID make some settings with cookies in the
program before I uninstalled it. Now my user
(administrator) IE doesn't work, but works fine for
others on this pc. Here's what I've done so far and
nothing seems to work.
1. System restore, which doesn't do a complete restore,
no matter where I roll it back (I even disconnected the
internet from PC at this point, just in case).
2. Did a repair under Control Panel/Network Connection.
3. Gone to IE tools/internet options/connections and
reset the connection.
I've done a search for the program to erase all traces of
it and have found some things (files extensions .pf) that
I think are in the registry and I have no idea wether I
can just remove them like that or is there a particular
way to go about this? Will this even MAKE a difference?
Thanks in advance!
