I'm having trouble installing Directx 9.0

Every time i try to install the directx 9.0 on my computer it says that "a cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please Verify the Cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. now i found the the cryptographic thing and its enabled so can any one help plz if you can help i thank you

Not much information ... so here we go with 20 questions;

Are you using XP
Have you installed SP2

im installing version9.0c and i have windows xp and no i did not install the sp2 or wutever it is u asked about now is it possible for u to help me?
 
Well you need to install Service pack 2 (SP2 :D)
should be on a disc that came with your pc, dig around for it :)

If it was, it would have been installed ... it ain't on mine. ;)

However, michael is correct sp2 should fix it, you can go to 'Windows update site' and install SP2. :thumb:
