I'm having a problem setting up accessing Gmail with Windows mail.

I have tried to set up windows mail to access my Gmail. I need some step by
step inst. I found some on about.com but I was told to acces my windows mail
folder in windows and have no idea where it is. Can someone please help me,
I am about to pull my hair out!!!
