Is this a shape you inserted or one from another presetnation file.
Also, do you believe it is literally an AutoShape or is it possibly an
image? I ask because it may be an animated .gif.
Without seeing the file, a quick solution it to select the shape and Edit >
Cut, then Edit > Paste Special and select Picture Windows Metafile. This
should remove any inherant animation.
i have inserted a shape into the master slide of a presentation . . . it
has evidently come with its own hidden animation which i can't find to
turn off . . . i ran into this problem a long time ago and was able to
stumble across the solution . . . today, i'm no so lucky.
.. . . i take that back . . . when i create a ppt everything is
automatically animated . . . yet no animation shows up in the custom
animation panel
