I’m confused, is it true that True Image is worth $10 now?

Sounds like a close-out sale...getting ready for the next version. Notice
that their disclaimer says you can't upgrade from this edition to the next
edition because of the low price.

My first observation is the site is .net instead of the .com the real
home page is. So as much as it looks like www.acronis.com its not.

2nd you can get it from New Egg for 24.99 and I trust New Egg more than
this other link.

It might work, but I'm skeptical. "Too good to be true" story?

You go ahead and do that. I will suggest to others that wish to purchase any
product, go to the product companies web site to get information about their
product(s). Never throw caution to the wind, "If it appears to be too good to be
true, ........", you know the rest.

Guys, as I understand it, .com and .net are the same, if you click buy
now it leads you to shop.acronis.com at digital river, which as I
understand it is their e-commerce platform, so it should be legal!

If you put www.acronist.net into your browser, it will actually bring up
acronis.com. Many companies by all flavors of their domain, such a .net,
..org, etc., and simply redirect.

: The Acronis website is .com, not .net - "these guys" are spammers.

I'll guarantee you that the link the OP provided does not go to or redirect to
Acronis. The linked page also has a few tracking scripts running and whether or
not the link "to Acronis" on the page actually takes you to Acronis, I wouldn't
trust it. It reminds me of the identity thieves that were organized enough to
redirect their links to the actual sites and the victims were none the less
wiser until it was too late.

I'm quite aware of the Acronis sale. I'm also quite aware of the hidden hit
counter, tracking scripts including google adsense and google analytics used on
the linked page the OP provided. IMHO the OP is deceptively using the linked
page for monetary gain.

If you veiw all the sources, it does point back to the appropriate
acronis.com links to order. However, the order page says 49.99, not 9.99.
Acronis does have some legit holdings in Russia as part of their company.
